OS X 10.6.1 Hardware Compatibility. Portable Computers. This is a hardware compatibility list for portable computers. We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying a portable computer. Don't forget to add how you got OSx86 running on your portable x86 computer, and to use proper English.
Please see the discussion page for proper instructions on how to input your system specs. Also, please contribute to the page, which should list a more granular view of compatibility. If your computer isn't listed, you should try it if you have a SSE2 or higher processor. Use vanilla kernel if it is supported.
ONLY add hardware that you have TESTED. Don't add hardware just because you think it might work.
Please add hardware into tables. This is for 10.6.1 builds only. Please list your computers in alphabetical order by manufacturer (Asus, Acer, Dell, HP, etc) For how to edit the Wiki, please see thread.

Related subreddits:. I have Fujitsu ESPRIMO Mobile V5505 with OS X 10.7.5 with everything working other than the iGPU and the OS refusing to load X3100 kexts. I already tried installing different X3100 kexts from all over the internet, tried with Graphics Enabler on and off and tried all different combinations of boot flags (-v, arch=i386, npci=0x1000.) and settings in Chameleon Wizard. My SMBios is set to MacBook 3,1 and I don't have a DSDT patch because I have no idea how to create one for my laptop in the first place. What should I do to get it fixed?
As i can see all macbooks that has came with x3100 graphic card has the ability to boot in an 64bit efi, the only issue of these upgrading to a custom mavericks or yoseimite installation is the graphic acceleration (?). If I had understood right with x3100@64bit kext we theorically be able to have some sort of graphic acceleartion or at least run 'well' these OS. I've found googling that link ( ) with a download of x3100 kext @64 bit and a 64 bit boot.efi enabler for these macs. Now, with these kexts is there someone able to do at almost clean install of these OS on these macbooks? I'm using Yosemite 10.10.3 on a Dell Inspiron X3100. I'm using some X3100 64-bit kexts from 10.6.2 that may have been modified by someone, I downloaded them from some hackintosh site. They seem to give me functionality with some acceleration, but not all acceleration.
There are 5 files for the X3100, two kexts, two bundles, and one plugin. They are called: AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext, AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext, AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin, AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle, and AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle.
Intel Gma X3100 Graphics
The two kexts are both shown as loaded. Things that require Quartz Extreme & Core Image seem to work, for example, screensaver Flurry that's QE works smoothly, and Chess moves the pieces smooth in 3D views. But things that require OpenGL don't work well at all. Open GL Extensions Viewer shows 0MB for the video, and it shows 'Apple Software Renderer' rather than the X3100 hardware.
The X3100 for Mac supports 87 OpenGL extensions, while the Apple Software Renderer only supports 46 OpenGL extensions, plus the software renderer seems exceptionally slow, I'm getting single digit frame rates on the most simple OpenGL tests. Other applications that use OpenGL fail to work correctly. In exploring this, I opened the Contents folder of all the extensions, and noticed that in the AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin that the info.plist seemed to specify specific Apple hardware, and statically load based upon some other hardware parameters.
The specific ID of the Apple X3100 was different than my Dell Inspiron ID, so this apparently needed to be modified for this plugin to work. The critical portion of the info.plist is: CFPlugInDynamicRegistration NO CFPlugInFactories 808-0000-0000-ffffffffffff Intel965GAFactory CFPlugInTypes ACCF0000-0000-0000-0000-0e 808-0000-0000-ffffffffffff Where CFPlugInFactories & CFPlugInTypes shows '80862582' for a real Mac, and my Dell should be '80862A02'. I modified both these, repaired ownership & permissions, and have the kext loading in 'dev' mode to bypass the broken signature from the mod, but it doesn't help anything, and I can't tell if it loads or not, but evidently not.
I also don't know the meaning of the CFPlugInTypes key that ends a2789904e, which may be some hardware specification that needs modification to load? Does anyone know about these plugins & bundles, and how to know if they're loading correctly?
I don't even know what the names are short for, but I believe GAPlugin is likely 'graphics accelerator plugin' and 'GLDriver' is 'graphics library driver', and VADriver is 'video accelerator driver' but I'm not sure? I don't believe these are working correctly, but getting them working may be impossible. I've tried changing the CFPlugInDynamicRegistration from 'NO' to 'YES', and then deleting the static hardware CFPlugInFactories & CFPlugInTypes that aren't required, but this also didn't help the OpenGL to be correctly identified or function faster.
I'm lost, any help?
The kexts in 'X3100 Backup' are the original kexts that HAVE QE/CI WITH the 'MOUSE LAG' bug. The kexts in 'x3100x8664' are Snow Leopard 10.6.2 kexts that DON'T HAVE QE/CI WITHOUT the 'MOUSE LAG'. I need QE/CI WITHOUT mouse lag. I'm running Lion 10.7.4. System Profiler: Chipset Model: GMA X3100 Type: GPU Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 144 MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x2a02 Revision ID: 0x000c The kexts I've found online for Lion are for 'Revision 3' and they do not work without 'Revision C'. Hello all, I have tried all of the recommendations and methods in this post to get my GMA X3100 (HP Pavillion DV6000 - Intel) fully working on iATKOS L2 10.7.2 with QE/CI, but encountered the same mouse/video lag that many others have. I was almost ready to go back to using SL until it dawned on me.why not copy the kexts from my 10.6 install to my 10.7?
I loaded iATKOS S3 version 2 and extracted the following using 'Pacifist': 1) gma.pkg 2) natitintel.pkg 3) x3100.pkg Note - I used Kext Utility after installing the above packages, the I restarted the PC. I then copied these items to a USB drive and installed on my 10.7.2 setup, and now have fully (and I mean fully) working GMA X3100 on iATKOS L2. I will try these same pkg's on a retail 10.7 install and post the results. I will also post my Chameleon bootloader settings for reference. If someone needs these files, just PM me and I will send directly as they are all in a ZIP that is less than 1MB in size (easy to share).

I have a Compaq Presario CQ56-134CA and I am trying to get the graphics acceleration at least partially working in Yosemite. I'm using Clover, the only kexts so far being FakeSMC and Voodoo PS2. It boots to the desktop but runs extremely slowly with graphical artifacts.
I'm pretty new to hackintosh, so please be understanding if I'm being a bit stupid. Thank you very much in advance. Update: Using the kext available here (thanks themacmeister): It seems to enable QE/CI! Screensaver works now anyways, and the tops of windows are no longer broken.
It also detects 144 MB of VRAM instead of only 4. The display is at the native resolution and it runs MUCH faster. I can even choose different resolution options in the Displays prefpane. However, it makes everything look very pixelated. With the Clover option PatchVBios, it is full resolution but the mouse lags and some of the tops of windows are messed up, logging in flickers, etc.
The patched kexts don't seem to do anything, and in conjunction with the Clover option there is no noticeable difference. This link doesn't do anything on its own but in conjunction with the Clover option it causes it to be full resolution, and recognized as the LCD instead of an external display, and prevents most of the graphics glitches, but causes it to be VERY pixelated. Like, the resolution is the native resolution of the display, and screenshots and the Displays prefpane show this, but it looks like shit. Also, with the kext in the link, it allows me to change the resolution and in System Information shows 144 MB of VRAM. Without it it is only 4 MB VRAM. It noticeably lags more as well. Any ideas what's going on here?
Update: With the kext mentioned above, it seems like QE/CI is even working!? This page: Tells me that if screensaver and chess work, then it is enabled. And both work. So my only issue now is, why is it pixelated?
